Student Wellness
Through
Breath, Movement, and Awareness
Ā
Ā Mindful HIT is an integrative approach to breathwork, movement, and nervous system regulation designed to build awareness, resilience, and presence.
This work is rooted in exercise physiology and translates the science of stress, breath mechanics, and regulation into practical, accessible tools.
In an educational setting, Mindful HIT is adapted to support students through age-appropriate practices that improve focus, emotional regulation, and overall well-beingāoffering skills that extend beyond the classroom and into daily life.
Experience a Short Guided Practice
The most effective way to understand this work is to experience it directly.
Below is a Ā short breathwork practiceĀ from the Rise & Regulate sessions found on my Mindful HIT app. It is designed to help regulate the nervous system and support a calm, focused state.
Using slow, rhythmic breathing and brief breath holds, the practice encourages parasympathetic activation (often referred to as the ārest and regulateā response), helping to reduce stress and improve attention.
These simple techniques can be used by students to reset between classes, manage stress, and return to a more grounded, present state.
Movement & Breath Integration
This movement-based practice demonstrates how breath and body awareness are integrated to support focus, coordination, and nervous system regulation.
Through simple, guided sequences, students learn to connect breath with movementāhelping to improve attention, reduce stress, and build greater awareness of their physical and internal state.
In a school setting, these practices are adapted to be accessible, structured, and appropriate for all experience levels, offering students a practical way to reset, re-engage, and return to learning with greater clarity.
Program Overview
This program is designed to integrate seamlessly into a school setting, offering structured, age-appropriate practices that support student well-being, focus, and resilience.
Through a combination of movement, breathwork, and nervous system education, students are introduced to practical tools they can use both in and out of the classroom.
